The apprentice surpasses the master

Among the adventures involving the sorcerer Raistlin Majere, born from the creativity of Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, one of those that perhaps best embodies the iron will of the wizard to elevate himself to the divine state, is the magical clash with his dark mentor Fistandantilus within an alternate timeline. Pretending to be a servile apprentice, Raistlin eventually steals the terrible bloodstone with which he will definitively absorb the putrid soul of his master, finally becoming the most powerful magic user in all of Krynn.
